Privacy policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

This site is a free food list. You don't need an account, we don't ask for your name or email, and nothing you search for is linked to who you are. Here is exactly what is collected and why.

Who runs this site

lowhistaminefoodlist.com is operated by Lion, LLC, Chicago, Illinois, USA. For anything about this policy or your data, email [email protected].

What we collect

Usage analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, where visitors come from (for example a search engine, Pinterest or Reddit), how far people scroll, which links and buttons they click, and short recordings of visits so we can see what's confusing. Anything typed into a box on the site is masked in those recordings. PostHog stores a random identifier in your browser to recognize repeat visits. It does not keep your IP address. PostHog processes this data in the United States.

Traffic counts (Ahrefs Web Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics)

Both count visits without cookies and without collecting personal information. We use them to see overall traffic.

Hosting (Cloudflare)

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks, and keeps short-lived security logs.

Your browser only

If you pick a language or dismiss the language suggestion, that choice is saved in your own browser so we don't ask again. It never leaves your device.

What we don't do

Links to apps and other sites

Some links go to the App Store, Google Play or other websites. Those have their own privacy policies.

Your choices and rights

You can block analytics with any common ad or tracker blocker; the site works the same either way. If you are in the EU, UK or another region with similar laws, you have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its use. Because we don't know who you are, the easiest way is to email us the date and rough time of your visit. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

We use analytics on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how a free resource is used and keeping it working well.

Children

This site is meant for adults and isn't directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
